British singer-songwriter, Ed Sheeran, is set to draw a record-breaking Melbourne crowd of over 250,000 at the conclusion of his ÷ World Tour at Marvel Stadium.
Over four consecutive nights, Sheeran, will attract more than 250,000 concert-goers making it the largest total crowd on record for any single music artist at Marvel Stadium. Over the shows the stadium will average over a huge 65,000 patrons per concert. Ed Sheeran will claim a top spot in Marvel Stadium’s history that will hard to break. .
Contributing to Melbourne’s long-standing status as the event capital, Marvel Stadium’s capacity, versatility and record attendance cements this world-class destination as one of the most highly-reputable arenas in Australia and the world. In what will be an impressive feat, Sheeran is set to eclipse the current stadium attendance record, held by AC/DC who drew in crowds of 180,000 across their three-night Marvel Stadium tour in 2010. Adele, who received a crowd of approximately 150,000 across two nights in 2017, still holds the record for most attendees in for an individual show.
In response to the extraordinary demand over the already released three shows, a fourth was added to the Stadium’s line up for Ed Sheeran’s ÷ World Tour
Sheeran will be joined at his Etihad concerts by multiple award-winning Australian artists – singer-songwriter, Missy Higgins and chart-toppers Bliss n Eso.
Marvel Stadium shows will begin on Friday, 9 March running until Monday, 12 March. Limited tickets remain and can be purchased through Ticketmaster.
