The refurbishment and expansion of the eastern side of Marvel Stadium referred to as City Edge due to its unimpeded Melbourne city view aspect, creates a new vibrant entry that enriches the experience and enhances the venue’s functionality. All stadium levels are linked by a large, daylight filled atrium space with new lift and escalator access.
The redevelopment includes an enhanced, flexible concourse space with consolidated ticketing, merchandising and food and beverage offerings, with greater weather protection. Upgraded function Rooms will provide greater versatility for events and take advantage of views to the Melbourne city. New general admission offerings include new food and beverage tenancies, a new outdoor terraces, and spaces that engage with the field of play.
Physically opening the edge of the Stadium to the concourse, the redevelopment creates intuitive connectivity between the city and stadium precinct, while new lighting, theming and branding opportunities enliven the fan experience of Marvel Stadium.
