CommBank Matildas Series opener against Argentina to be held at Marvel Stadium

We're thrilled to announce that the CommBank Matildas will face Argentina at Marvel Stadium on Friday, 30th May 2025 (8:00PM AEST), for the first match of their two-game international series against La Albiceleste. 

The fixture will form a vital part of the CommBank Matildas build up towards the AFC Women’s Asian Cup Australia 2026TM and has been made possible due to the continued support of the Victorian Government through its tourism and major events authority, Visit Victoria.Canberra will play host to the series finale on Monday, 2 June 2025 (7:30pm AEST) at GIO Stadium.

Football Australia Chief Executive Officer, James Johnson, said: “With just under one year to go until the AFC Women’s Asian Cup 2026TM at home, we are committed to continuing to seek out opponents that present a diversity of styles and footballing cultures to give the CommBank Matildas the opportunity to build and ensure they are peaking come tournament time.

"With the FIFA Women’s World CupTM in 2027 set for South America, we are delighted to secure Argentina, one of the top South American nations and who featured at the FIFA Women’s World Cup 2023TM. They and their supporters bring a unique energy and passion for the game, and these matches will help us refine our approach heading into a tournament that will also serve as a Women’s World Cup Qualifier.

Tickets will go on pre-sale for Football Australia Account Holders on Friday, 28 March 2025 at 10.00am AEDT with General Public tickets available on Monday, 31 March 2025 at 4.00pm AEDT.

Prices will start from $34 Adult, $27 Concession $24 Junior, and $92 Family.

$2 (plus GST) from every ticket sold will be donated to the CommBank ParaMatildas and CommBank Pararoos, Australia's CP national teams for male and female footballers with cerebral palsy, acquired brain injury or symptoms from a stroke.Full ticketing information is available from the official CommBank Matildas website at matildas.com.au.
